SimGHOSTS Scholarship Winners Have Been Announced

Winners of the Pocket Nurse Scholarship for SimGHOSTS 2017 USA have been announced.

Erica Hinojosaj has worked as a Simulation Technician at the University of Texas-Arlington, College of Nursing & Health Innovation’s Smart Hospital Facilities for the last two and a half years plus an additional one and a half years as a student assistant. Erica has a true passion for all things simulation — she’s currently involved in an on-going simulation research grant covering competency focused approach to clinical experiences, and she regularly mentors their junior sim techs.

Jennifer Thackston has been an instructor at Upstate EMS Council since 2010 after completing paramedic school at the same institution. Jennifer began as an adjunct instructor, progressing into lead EMT instructor, and now teaches the paramedic course. In addition to her teaching duties, she has become Upstate EMS Council’s simulation leader, trainer, and technician.
